Pi Bar and Kitchen, Andheri

Pi Bar
Pi Bar and Kitchen recently opened up in Andheri, Lokhandwala area.

Pi Bar and Kitchen is the second venture by the owners of Pi Pizzeria in Khar. This outlet is a bit bigger and of course, serves delicious Pizza.

For me, Pi Bar and Kitchen and also Pi Pizzeria is one of the best places to eat Pizza in the city of Mumbai. Their Pizza is gourmet style and very inspired from the English style Pizza and they actually do quite a swell job!

So here’s what I tried at Pi Bar and Kitchen on my last visit.

Dough Balls with Garlic Butter

Pi Bar

Their Dough Balls are something that I absolutely recommend trying out. Warm and the right kind of soft, and when dipped in garlic butter they can be such a joy.

Garlic Bread with Mozzarella

Pi Bar

This is the ultimate ‘comfort food’ level Garlic Bread. It’s very different than a regular Garlic bread that you find in restaurants – it’s not dry, it’s got a ton of mozzarella and it’s buttered to perfection.

Deep Fried Tortellini

Pi Bar

Homemade tortellini pasta stuffed with dry fruits and served with their house dip.

Cipriota Pizza

Pi Bar

Sun dried tomatoes, onions, cherry tomatoes and Feta Cheese on Pizza.

Quattro Pizza (14″)

Pi Bar

Their version of a 4 cheese Pizza. This one has Mozzarella, Fontal, Parmesan, Feta cheese.

Ciappino Pizza

Pi Bar

Basic – Garlic, Basil and onions. But so delicious! And their pizza sauce is exceptional – the right flavor!

They do get their Pizza Base right. It’s not too marshy like authentic Pizza, neither is it too crispy.

Pi Bar

Stuffed Caneloni

Pi Bar

Lots of marinara sauce, lots of mozzarella cheese and delicious flavor of Ricotta – absolutely loved the Caneloni.

Asparagus and Sundried Tomato Risotto

Pi Bar

This had an amazing flavor from the asparagus puree and sundried tomatoes.

Creamy Spinach Mash Potatoes

Pi Bar

Never tried Spinach flavored Mash potatoes before – these were equally buttery as other mash potatoes and you get a hint of spinach as an aftertaste.

Parmesan and Rosemary Truffle Fries

Pi Bar

Hot, crunchy fries! They did have an apparent Truffle flavor.

Cheesecake

Pi Bar

The cheesecake is really good and definitely does not over do the creaminess.

Tiramisu

Pi Bar

Probably one of the best Tiramisu in the city, this is something that you need to try here. It’s perfectly moist, the right amount of coffee and so creamy.

Molten Lava Cake

Pi Bar

Served warm, this one is a good indulgence for chocolate lovers.

Ginger Quest

Pi Bar

If you love a ginger flavored drink then this one is amazing. It also has that sweetness from Pomegranate. Very light and refreshing.

I highly recommend trying out Pi Bar and Kitchen. It’s one of my favorite places to relish gourmet Pizza and of course Tiramisu.

I hope this post was helpful. Stay tuned for my next one.

Find exclusive Dominos Offers on GoPaisa

In 1960, Tom Monaghan along with his brother James purchased a small pizza store and named it DomiNick’s, which later became immensely popular with the name Domino’s. Domino’s is an American pizza restaurant chain headquartered in Michigan, United States. In India, it was first introduced in the year 1996 with the first outlet in Bengaluru. Since then, people’s love for pizza knows no bounds. Pizza has now become the most favored snack in India and all credit goes to brands like Domino’s. And that is the reason, it is one of the India’s largest and fastest growing food service company, with a network of 13,800 Domino’s Pizza restaurants including more than 5,000 outlets outside the United States. In India, Domino’s celebrated it’s another big accomplishment of opening its 1000th store in 2016. There were huge Dominos Offers out to the public to mark this occasion as a special one. Along with the kind of popularity, Domino’s enjoys owing to its delicious taste and good quality ingredients, the franchise is also dedicated towards the welfare of the society by helping pizza makers and pizza takers to become independent business owners. Although this story more or less is concerned for the Americans, the step is still appreciated. Some of the most successful Domino’s franchise owners began their career as delivery experts, customer service representatives, or pizza makers in their own communities. In 1973, Domino’s came with a new and interesting concept of “get your pizza in 30 minutes or free”. This step was taken as a new milestone in the food delivery industry. However, the same was discontinued in next few years owing to their failure in fulfilling their promise. With time, this became the USP of Domino’s and with certain terms and conditions they re-introduced the same offer. Dominos Coupons are another feature introduced by them to lure customers. These coupons help consumers to save few extra bucks from their pocket. Also, it also gives the retailer a chance to analyze the market trait. Similarly, there were other interesting Domino’s Offers out and about for the consumers to make the most of their money and appetite. These offers and coupons helped Domino’s a lot to attract customers. There were a lot many deals in the market which were offered by Domino’s. They even made a pattern and started to release offers on particular days of the week. These offers either reached out claiming that you can “get Pizza with up to 50% off” or even “Buy one get one free”. This turned out as a great boon in the diet plan of Indians and they inculcated pizza in their regular diet. Also, with passage of time and increasing love for pizza, there came another boost in the market with Dominos Coupons on online order from their website. People could not stop rejoicing about the fact that they can now get their favourite pizzas at such an affordable price. These coupons are available on Domino’s website and can be used for making orders online.

1Tablespoon Pizza Kitchen Review

1Tablespoon Pizza Kitchen
If I were to pick just one pizza place for life, it would have to be 1Tablespoon Pizza Kitchen!

Right from the crust to the sauce, 1Tablespoon Pizza Kitchen gets everything right. Keep reading to see what I ate during my last order from here.

Not Complicated

1Tablespoon Pizza Kitchen

Tomato sauce, mozzarella, dry oregano and sliced garlic. This is a yummier version of a basic margherita style pizza. I always order their artisanal crusts – I personally enjoy them a lot more than thin crusts, during home delivery. The beauty of this pizza is the tomato sauce. And the strong garlic flavor just takes the experience to another level. Order this if you are craving something simple, yet delish!

Hot Pepper Farm

1Tablespoon Pizza Kitchen

This one is a spicy one. Jalapeno, red chillies, bell peppers, tomato sauce and mozzarella. If you enjoy a spicier pizza, then try this.

Garlic Bread

1Tablespoon Pizza Kitchen

This is so generously buttered. And it also has a little bit of Mozzarella which makes it even butter.

1Tablespoon Pizza Kitchen

They even have homemade ice cream and I’ve tried 2 flavors – Hazelnut & Caramel Peanut Butter. I absolutely love their Hazelnut – it is so creamy.

1Tablespoon Pizza Kitchen

1Tablespoon Pizza Kitchen is currently located in Lower Parel and Matunga. They are going to open their 3rd outlet soon. But if you are in these areas, then you should definitely give them a visit. They serve Pizza by the slice and also full portions. Apart from Pizza, you will also find soup, pasta, milkshakes etc in their outlets. You can try them out either via home delivery or visit their outlets. I personally am a regular customer for them. I usually end up ordering their Margherita slice quite often. Their pricing is a tad bit more expensive than other Pizza places, but their quality makes them worth the extra money.

I hope this review was helpful. Stay tuned for my next post.

The Playlist Pizzeria

Playlist Pizzeria
The Playlist Pizzeria has been on my wishlist for a while, and I finally got a chance to grab a meal here.

Nestled in Bandra, close to Mount Mary steps, The Playlist Pizzeria offers an interesting Pizza experience. The theme of the restaurant, as the name suggests is pretty much connected to music. Even their wall clocks resemble a CD! And their menu is divided into starters which are termed Opening Act, Pizza varieties which are called The Mainstage and desserts which are essentially The After Party. I know this doesn’t really add tangible value, but I think it’s pretty interesting to see a differently named menu.

Playlist Pizzeria

Let’s straight jump in to all the interesting stuff I had here:

Signature Garlic Bread

Playlist Pizzeria Signature Garlic Bread

This is a very different kid of garlic bread. It comes like a super thin flat bread and the garlic flavor is extremely over powering. For me this was a good change from the regular thick garlic bread that we eat almost everywhere.

House Salad

Playlist Pizzeria House Salad

Very fresh and homestyle. It had rocket leaves, iceberg lettuce, apple, pomegranate in a mild olive oil and honey dressing. The sprinkled pepper on top gave it a nice edge.

Poker Face

Playlist Pizzeria Poker Face

Margherita Pizza – with a hint of sea salt. I loved the crust – it wasn’t soggy; but the right amount of crispy. And the tomato sauce was good too.

Make Your Own Pizza

Playlist Pizzeria Make Your Own Pizza

I added some tomato sauce, caramelized onions, cherry tomatoes, basil and peppers and it turned out pretty good!

Reverb

Playlist Pizzeria Reverb

Desi style Tandoori Paneer pizza, on a gluten free base. The pizza bread was made from ragi and honestly it tasted quite nice. This is slightly spicy, but if you like an Indian style pizza, then go ahead and order it.

Cheerleader

Playlist Pizzeria Cheerleader

Again, on a gluten free ragi base, this one had jalapeno, olives, tomato sauce and mozzarella.

Tiramisu

Playlist Pizzeria Tiramisu

This wasn’t the extremely creamy kind, that is filled with creamy mascarpone. It did have a lot of coffee though.

So that was it from my visit to The Playlist Pizzeria. Their pizza doesn’t seem completely authentic Italian, however it is really good. Definitely try their Ragi base Pizza as it’s gluten free and still quite delicious.

Pi Pizzeria

Pi Pizzeria garlic bread with mozarella
Pi Pizzeria, located in Khar promises a really good, close to authentic flavor in it’s Pizza.

I recently visited Pi Pizzeria and was quite impressed with the food I had there.

Pi Pizzeria crust

For me, the Pizza crust itself is really important. While I don’t enjoy the completely moist base, i did enjoy the one I had at Pi Pizzeria. It kind of felt a little bit like a pan pizza, but a little more moist. I loved it!

So here is everything I had on my visit to Pi Pizzeria.

Garlic Bread with Mozarella

Pi Pizzeria garlic bread with mozarella

This is pretty different from the regular garlic bread we eat – literally hint of garlic and a good amount of Mozarella. Quite yum.

Dough Balls with Garlic Butter

Pi Pizzeria doughballs

I would go here just to have these 🙂 These are so delicious. Literally perfect and the garlic butter on the side is just an added bonus.

Quattro Formagii

Pi Pizzeria quattro formaagi

Excellent flavor. I normally am not the biggest fan of 4 cheese pizza, but this was an exception. It had Mozarella, Parmesan, Feta and Fontal cheese.

Genovese

Pi Pizzeria genovese

This had rocket leaves which for me is rather new on a Pizza. And the sauce was Pesto along with Parmesan cheese. Pretty good – the pesto is not too overpowering in it’s flavor, and rocket leaves and Parmesan is an excellent combination.

Cipriota

Pi Pizzeria cipriota

This one has Feta cheese, and a fair bit of exotic veggies – sun dried tomatoes, olives, cherry tomatoes and onion. Quite nice.

Testarossa

Pi Pizzeria

It’s quite tasty; the onion, peppers, garlic and olives go really well with the sauce. However, this does have bits of chilli.

Porcini

Pi Pizzeria

This one is Mushrooms, onions, sundried tomatoes and Parmesan. I am not the biggest fan of mushrooms, but if you are then you would love this.

Choco Lava Cake

Pi Pizzeria

This was a nice gooey lava cake. Best had really warm!

Pi Pizzeria lava cake

Cheesecake

Pi Pizzeria cheesecake

This was one good cheese cake. You should have this here – it’s really dense and doesn’t feel dry at all. Highly recommended.

I loved my meal at Pi Pizzeria. I would definitely go back and recommend you to check it out as well.

Thank you so much for reading and stay tuned for my next post. XOXO!

Salads, Pizza and Pasta at 63 By-Lane, Kandivali East

63 By-Lane
63 By-Lane Pizza is a pretty new joint for Salads, Pizza and Pasta around Thakur village in Kandivali East. The place is kind of a blessing to anyone craving authentic stuff in this area.

I recently visited 63 By-Lane and tried out some of their stuff. Here’s a peek into everything I had.

Salads at 63 By-Lane

Salad No.10 – The Watermelon and Feta Salad

63 By-Lane

I started with this salad and was totally blown over in just the first bite. The sweet watermelon gives a tremendous burst of flavor and the mild natural bitterness from arugula blends really well with it. Balsamic vinegar adds a nice feel along with walnuts that are sweetened because of all the goodness from the mild dressing. Small bits of feta cheese just feel so delicious! The watermelon in this salad is deseeded – so additional brownie points for that!

63 By-Lane

Salad No.63 – Fresh Lettuce and Veggies

63 By-Lane

Lemon flavor, fresh iceberg lettuce along with quinoa – quite a wholesome combination! As if that wasn’t enough, there is a generous addition of vegetables too – olives, onions, peppers, tomatoes, corn and cucumber. The natural flavor of the veggies mixed with the mild lemon dressing and loads of heakthy seeds truly makes this a healthy yet delicious combo.

63 By-Lane

They have various salad combos or you can even try making your own salad with whatever you need. I highly recommend their Watermelon and Feta Cheese Salad.

63 By-Lane

Pizza at 63 By-Lane

Pizza No.63 – Multigrain Thin Crust with Veggies

63 By-Lane

Tomato sauce with a generous serving of mushrooms, baby corn, broccoli, spinach and onions. This pizza comes on a multigrain thin crust and can be pretty filling. The vegetables lend their own flavor and make this a pretty good choice.

63 By-Lane

Pizza No.91 – Paneer in Barbecue Sauce

63 By-Lane

The sweetness of the barbecue sauce goes really well with a perfectly crisp crust. The pizza has soft paneer pieces that melt in your mouth. This combined with the generous amount of capsicum and onion on top makes this an ideal pizza for anyone who loves pizza with a slight Indian twist.

63 By-Lane

Pizza No.89 – Margherita

63 By-Lane

This particular pizza did little for me, to be honest. Somehow that nice sweet and tangy flavor which is synonymous with margherita was absent. Also the crust felt slightly chewy.

Pizza No.04 – 4 Cheese

63 By-Lane

A very good attempt here. Perfectly crisp crust. And no weird smelly after taste from all the different cheese. I normally don’t enjoy a 4 Cheese pizza, but this one did make an exception. Mozarella, Cheddar, Gouda and Monterey jack on a layer of Alfredo Sauce.

All of their Pizza Sauce and Base is made in house. You can literally design your own pizza here – pick a sauce, toppings and crust. And there are plenty of options if you prefer Jain as well. And – you don’t get charged per topping!

63 By-Lane

Pasta at 63 By-Lane

Pasta No.63 – Mushroom Sauce

63 By-Lane

Spaghetti in a creamy and cheesy Alfredo sauce along with mushrooms and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. For anyone who doesn’t mind mushrooms and loves a good cheesy spaghetti, this one’s your dish.

63 By-Lane

Pasta No.10 – Pesto Sauce

63 By-Lane

I’m not the biggest fan of Pesto sauce and this one was pretty okayish! The Pesto flavor wasn’t very in your face (read mouth) and the sauce overall wasn’t all that creamy too.

63 By-Lane

Pasta No.16 – Pomodoro Sauce

63 By-Lane

There are very few things that I enjoy more than a mild tomato and basil pasta – just the flavor of San Marzano tomatoes and Basil leaves along with some olive oil means soul food to me. And somehow that’s not what this Pomodoro Sauce Pasta did for me. The sauce and the flavors, everything was basically really underwhelming. I did like the fact that they maintained their pasta al dente. But I do feel that the sauce was missing that tangy tomato flavor.

63 By-Lane

Pasta No.02 – Pink Sauce

63 By-Lane

Because the tomato sauce here overall felt very subdued, in kind of became a bit more apparent in this Pink Sauce Pasta. Pink sauce pasta is like goodness in a serving – creamy cheesy flavor and the sweet and sour feel of tomatoes together. This one doesn’t do justice at all.

63 By-Lane

All of their pasta is made right in front of you – so you can be rest assured of hygiene and quality. And of course – ask for Jain options if you need to.

63 By-Lane

Drinks at 63 By-Lane

Fresh Lime Water with Chia Seeds

63 By-Lane

Homestyle fresh lime – slightly sweet, slightly sour, along with chia seeds that give a subtle yet noticeable twist. I absolutely love the feel of chia and just adding it to fresh lime makes such a difference. And they also add a couple of tulsi leaves which just gives that hint of flavor.

Chilled Lemon Tea

63 By-Lane

This is refreshing any day! Sweet tea and lemon is a combination that you can’t go wrong with. Do try this out.

Their beverages are done in house too and I absolutely recommend that you order one with your meal. These feel really good.

Overall, the food at 63 By-Lane kind of pulls towards the extremes for me – there was stuff like the salads, beverages and the barbecue pizza that I really enjoyed. And then there was stuff that I didn’t care for very much. I do feel this place has a lot of potential and is definitely a blessing for the are in which it operates.

Do try it out and let me know how you liked it!

Jamies Pizzeria Mumbai – Overrated?

Jamies Pizzeria Mumbai
After at least a dozen recommendations from fellow foodies, friends and family, I tried out Jamies Pizzeria Mumbai. Talk about being super late to a party!

Jamies Pizzeria Mumbai

Jamies Pizzeria Mumbai

When a restaurant is highly recommended, the Gemini in me gets way too active. On one hand I’m super excited to try out the place and be one with all the people who love it, and on the other hand I’m kind of really trying hard to not build that many expectations. And Jamies Pizzeria Mumbai wasn’t left out of this thought process either.

Jamies Pizzeria Mumbai

Firstly, a moment of silence that Haagen Dazs shut down and made way for Jamies. I mean, WHY? Why God why did it have to go. Anyway, after all of that emotional drama, I got down to ordering some food and I ordered some salad, some pizza and a beverage.

Jamies Pizzeria Mumbai

I started with their Rocket Salad. A petite portion of fresh rocket leaves, some parmesan cheese in an extremely understated balsamic flavor. You have gotta love your leaves if you have to like this salad because the dressing is really mild and the actual rustic flavor of arugula is what you end up with. Even the cheese is really minimal. I honestly did quite enjoy this.

Jamies Pizzeria Mumbai

Coming to the next item – which for me is the TRUE test for a Pizza place – the MARGHERITA! I ordered one here too and went in immediately for a big bite. You know when there’s too much excitement and anticipation and your first bite is well…just about ok. The pizza base was really good. I didn’t have any trouble eating even the non sauce part at all. The tomato sauce I felt could have been a little more tangy and flavorful. I mean it was ok, and not something that I could rave about. Honestly, I feel Pizza Express does their margherita splendidly well.

Jamies Pizzeria Mumbai

I sipped on their Ginger Beer all throughout my dinner and I thought it was one of the best ginger drinks I’ve had in a while. No fizz and really good.

Jamies Pizzeria Mumbai

So, coming to the ultimate question – Will I go back here? May be …may be not.

Jamies Pizzeria Mumbai

Have you tried Jamies Pizzeria Mumbai? How did you like it? Let me know in the comments!

Wow Bake and Grill, Lower Parel

Wow Bake and Grill

Can there ever be an excess of cheese? No right! WOW Bake and Grill in Lower Parel can give you loads of yummy cheesilicious stuff from their menu.

I recently tried some stuff from WOW Bake and Grill and absolutely loved it. It’s a great option for delivering to your doorstep if you are in this area.

All that I tried from WOW Bake and Grill is listed below:

Red White Fusion Pasta

Wow Bake and Grill

Spicy, cheesy pasta. LOADS of cheese and a good, albeit creamy mix of red and white sauce.

Cheesy Garlic Bread

Wow Bake and Grill

WOW Bake and Grill is so generous with their cheese! It’s a lot of cheese on warm garlic bread. Cannot go wrong with this one.

Peri Peri Fries

Wow Bake and Grill

Spicy AF! But it’s impossible to stop eating these. Because my food was home delivered, I had to try to reheat these and once I did, they were as good as new.

Tandoori Paneer Burger

Wow Bake and Grill

This is something which I didn’t enjoy too much. It was a try on item – which means it’s not yet on their menu. But somehow the sour kind of taste and paneer didn’t work for me. However, the fries that came with it were spot on!

Wow Bake and Grill

If you are in this area, then you know you can order from WOW Bake and Grill to fulfill some cheesy cravings!

800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria – Los Angeles

800 Degrees Neapolitan

Travelling makes me really happy. So does food. So here’s a snippet of something that I really enjoyed while I was in Los Angeles recently. Watch this video from my visit to 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria in Downtown, LA. And while your at it, do Subscribe to my YouTube channel as well.

Subscribe to my YouTube here

800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria was just a couple of blocks from my hotel, and I visited this place one afternoon for lunch. They did have a whole authentic feel going on – open kitchen, multiple huge brick ovens and of course Margherita Pizza! If you have been following me, then you know that I absolutely enjoy a good Margherita – so here I was! And the best part was that I got to film a lot of the pizza being made. That’s how this video came along.

The pizza here was good – kinda soft and soggy like the authentic one, mild sauce and loads of Olive Oil and cheese. It was good pizza and I think I’d rate it a 4 on 5.

Here are some more pictures that you can check out from my visit here.

Their pizza is quite nice and a great option if you are looking for a change than the regular American style sliced pizza. And they do have a lot of branches, across countries as well – Las Vegas, Dubai and many more.

I hope you enjoyed reading and watching. I know it’s been a while since there was a blog post but there are many interesting ones coming. So stay tuned and also subscribe to my YouTube – I do upload videos quite often. And also follow me on my social media. All of the links are below.
