Icekraft Oshiwara
Icekraft Oshiwara has totally caught my eye – there’s something about freshly rolled ice cream that I absolutely enjoy. Not only ice creams, but even their savories, waffles, freakshakes are an absolute delight.

I tried many different things at Icekraft Oshiwara and quite enjoyed all of it. You can take a look at all the delicious stuff i gorged on while i was there:

Berry blast 🙂

Overall, everything was really good at Icekraft Oshiwara. The savories are fresh and that itself becomes a major distinguishing factor as compared to several other eateries that serve frozen and merely reheated food.

The waffles are perfectly crunchy and that is super important in the eggless variety. They are a little spongy but honestly that didn’t matter to me. And the toppings are generous and how! The quantity of chocolate chips and nutella is seriously wow!

The ice creams are rolled right in front of you. No artificial flavor or syrups are used. Fruits used are fresh. And their flavor comes through really well. There’s also a massive selection of toppings so you can choose from sprinkles, to fruits, to cereal and so much more.

I highly recommend this place. If, like me you are a vegetarian then you will truly appreciate the variety one can get here. Check them out and also let them know that I sent you 🙂

Desi Deli Oshiwara
The Desi Deli Oshiwara is all vibrant and buzzing – of course their signature burgs and desi dogs still exist. But now they also do some good wine, beer and an amazing array of food pairings to go with these.

Here’s a little preview of what you can expect at Desi Deli Oshiwara. Check out this video!

That was the all new Desi Deli Oshiwara for you. I tried a whole lot from their new menu along with some good wine and quite liked a lot of stuff. Take a look!

Sangria

Desi Deli Oshiwara

There is no going wrong with this amazing red wine Sangria. Done really well.

Bread with some Rosemary & Walnut Pesto

Desi Deli Oshiwara

Crunchy bread pieces with a really delicious pesto layered atop. It had a hint of rosemary and tasted delicious. This paired with the red wine Sangria is something you can spend an entire evening with!

Vegetarian Desi Dogs

Desi Deli Oshiwara

New addition to their super famous desi hot dogs. They had 3 options – a tangy, a spicy and a sweet.

The Tangy Dog had a nice pickle kinda after taste.

The Spicy one was actually the most delicious but careful – it does get really spicy!

The Sweet Dog has a really nice flavor from caramelized onions and a sweet sauce.

Sparkling wine

Desi Deli Oshiwara

Pair the desi dogs with some sparkling wine and you’ve got yourself a damn good combo.

Desi Deli Oshiwara

They have so many more such options – good food paired with the right liquor. Definitely recommend visiting them and enjoying a really good meal. And if you are looking for options on what you should eat there, apart from these then do check out my review here.

Papacream Oshiwara – Video & Review

Papacream Oshiwara
Papacream Oshiwara needs to be your destination for amazing ice cream and dessert if you are in and around Andheri. They recently launched their outlet here and it was such a full house when I visited.

Here’s a video tour of Papacream Oshiwara

Subscribe to my YouTube here

So what is Papacream Oshiwara all about? They are super famous for their liquid nitrogen ice cream which is pretty much made in front of you. The ingredients are fresh and they do some pretty good flavours too. Their standard flavours include Belgian Chocolate, Strawberry, Espresso, Sitaphal and their premium ones include some unique ones like Tiramisu, Salted Caramel and Bubblegum Candy floss. You will also find sorbets. Their Pani Puri Sorbet and Hummus Ice Cream are all over Instagram right now!

Papacream Oshiwara

I ended up trying the Cookiewich – this is essentially a cookie sandwich with Belgian Chocolate ice cream in between 2 chocolate chip cookies with fruit loops, caramel sauce and hot fudge. The cookies can feel slightly hard but the Belgian Chocolate Ice Cream inside along with fruit loops is such a heavenly combo.

Papacream Oshiwara

Papacream Oshiwara

I also tried their Belgian Waffle Sundae and it was delicious! They have bubble waffles in this which can feel so fluffy and light and that combined with chocolate ice cream, hot fudge, chocolate chips, caramel and cream can be so heavenly. I absolutely recommend this!

Papacream Oshiwara

I definitely can’t wait to visit Papacream once more and try out more stuff from them. Their new outlet in Andheri is surely something that you should try out. And if you are a SOBO person then their flagship store at Churchgate is still there.

Peninsula Grand Sakinaka Andheri

What makes a restaurant grand? Is it just great food? Not in my opinion. So let’s find out if Peninsula Grand is really the grandest of them all!

Here’s all the items you absolutely should be ordering at the Peninsula Grand, Sakinaka

Cottage Cheese and Crackling Spinach

Peninsula Grand

I can describe this as one of the best ones I’ve had. The right amount of crackle in the spinach and the paneer pieces are really nice and soft. That perfect Indian Chinese flavor is what this dish brings.

Masala Papad

Peninsula Grand

I know my papad well! It’s because I eat it with every meal. So when someone gives me a perfectly crisp papad, with a blanket of tomatoes, onion and chatpata masalas, I do appreciate it.

Tomato Dhaniya Shorba

Peninsula Grand

Great if you have a bad throat, or even otherwise. Slightly on the spicier side though.

Sweet Corn Soup

Peninsula Grand

Thick and has a good amount of vegetable in it. It doesn’t feel like it has absolutely no corn flour, but definitely worth a try.

Vegetarian Kebab Platter

Peninsula Grand

The paneer and the seekh kebabs in this are just heavenly. And honestly the portions are quite a bit.

Sweet and Sour gravy with Paneer

Peninsula Grand

Peninsula Grand does Indian Chinese really well. This gravy was so tasty!

Madhur Milan

Peninsula Grand

Warm boondi, gulab jamun and rabdi. And laden with chopped pistachios. Rich and delicious.

The Peninsula Grand also feels different than the other Peninsula brand restaurants in the city. Their service is really good and it does give a feel of dining in a fancy place. Evenings you will see that they have some live music which would be great with their opulent bar selection. All in all, a good family place.

Goila Butter Chicken Review

Goila Butter Chicken

When I first heard about Goila Butter Chicken, I was like would they have anything at all for me? I’m a vegetarian and honestly a bit apprehensive of trying out places that have a meal option in their name itself! But, I conquered all my fears and tried out Goila Butter Chicken.

If you are in and around Andheri West, then Goila Butter Chicken is a great delivery option for you. It not only serves great non vegetarian stuff, but their vegetarian dished too are pretty awesome. I’ve listed below my favorites from Goila Butter Chicken. Do try them out.

Goila Butter Masala

Goila Butter Chicken

This is the Goila Butter Chicken version of Paneer Butter Masala. The gravy is brilliant – not too creamy, not too thin. And it has a hint of that charcoal, smoky flavor going on, which to be honest I quite love. Paneer chunks are soft and generously spread.

Goila Butter Chicken

Wheat Roomali

Goila Butter Chicken

If like me you are bored of regular roti or naans, go for this wheat roomali. It goes excellently well with the Goila Butter Masala.

Aloo and Bhindi Kadhi

Goila Butter Chicken

If it’s a welll cooked, subtle flavored kadhi, I will love it. And this one is no exception. Amazing homestyle besan and dahi kadhi with potato pieces and bhindi in it. Being a Sindhi, I quite love these kind of veggies in my kadhi. This is extremely homestyle – so if you want something mild, yet soothing have this with some jeera rice from Goila Butter Chicken.

Beetroot Tikki Chaat

Goila Butter Chicken

Goila Butter Chicken

Goila Butter Chicken

Beetroot tikkis and ragda with dahi and chutneys – both coriander and imli. And topped with some potato salli. Can’t go wrong with this. Order this for a fun addition to your meal. It is indeed delicious.

And lastly you can finish off with some Mango Rasgullas, like I did!

Peninsula Grand – Is this really GRAND?

Peninsula Grand

I recently visited Peninsula Grand and I couldn’t help but compare it to all of the other Peninsulas’ I’ve visited, all across Mumbai. For those of you who are not aware, Grand Peninsula is a restaurant located in a 4 star hotel of the same name. And the same group also has restaurants of various price ranges in Sion, Mumbai as well. But this particular one, compared to all of the others did appear a lot more fancy.

In order to know if the Peninsula Grand has all the keys that it needs to be really GRAND, watch this video!

The Peninsula Grand is a beautifully done place. Pastel shades, a lot of white and huge windows make it seem very open. And they offer a huge variety of food – North Indian, Chinese and so much more. They also have a full bar available. It is a place that you can visit with your entire family and have a great time.

Go Panda, Andheri Lokhandwala

Review – Go Panda

Rating – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ and half

I was recently invited to check out this place. To be honest Go Panda has been on my wishlist for a while and also recommended to me by so many fellow foodies. I was so happy with everything I ate here and cannot wait to be back for another meal!

Recommend:
Paneer Sloppy Joe
Asian Noodles Croquet

I started with the Paneer Sloppy Joe. When I read the description of the sloppy Joe, it mentioned that it was a sandwich and I was like – a Chinese sandwich?!! But when I took the first bite I shut up for good! Yummy paneer with probably the best kind of Chinese seasoning and loads of cheese in a sandwich. And it’s served with some fries on the side. Truly one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten.

Then I tried the Burmese Khao Suey. Really tasty – the noodles were just the right amount of crunchy and great coconut flavor.

After that I tried something called the Singaporean Baida Roti with some paneer stuffing in it. Exceptional is an understatement. This paneer stuffing was slightly different than the sloppy Joe one but yet so tasty. It is served with a Malaysian sauce / dip on the side.

And then I tried the Asian noodles croquet – similar stuffing like a spring roll but with some cheese. And the outer part is nice and crispy. It is served with some sweet chilli sauce. Absolutely loved this.

So tasty and affordable Chinese food has an all new meaning and definitely a destination for me.

14 Sauce Story – Review

Rating – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was recently invited to check out 14 sauce story and my experience was pretty extreme – either I really loved what I ate or I couldn’t care any lesser about it! Keep reading to know what was YAY and what was an Oh God NO!
14 Sauce Story
The Signature Platter!
I started with the kit kat shake – delicious this was! Chocolate shake with a whole lot of kit kat – it had everything going on for it. So this was definitely a YAY!

I also tried their strawberry Slush kinda drink – it was super refreshing in this weather. So that’s another YAY!

Then I tried their watermelon and feta cheese salad and this came with big chunks of melon, loads of rocket leaves and a really appetizing balsamic and citrus dressing. Everything in this was perfect – except the watermelon. This wasn’t chilled and that was kind of ruining the salad for me. Also it wasn’t deseeded – a lot of places have the watermelon in their salads completely deseeded. So this was sort of disappointing.

Next I tried their platter – the epic  14 sauce platter. This had French fries, corn cheese and spinach parcels, onion rings, garlic bread, nachos, pita, lavash and 14 different sauces. There was barbecue, mayo, mustard, mint and so many others.. This platter was exceptional – the stuff that was warm – particularly the fries, onion rings, spinach parcels were very very very tasty. But the uncooked stuff i.e. The pita, lavash etc was seeming slightly soggy. So I just ate all the fried stuff with the sauces. Personally loved the whole mustard and the minty one.

Next I tried the Molten Potato Burger in a poppy seed bun. This was a definite YAY! Then patty inside was crunchy and tasty and the hint of poppy seeds on the bun made for an interesting combo.

For dessert I tried their brownie – this is probably one of the softest brownies I’ve eaten. So incredibly soft and fresh..And although it didn’t have any liquid or gooey chocolate kinda thing going on inside it didn’t feel dry at all. Exceptional.

So now you know why I had a mixed experience. But the stuff I loved would definitely make me want to go there again.
The ambience of this place is pretty ok – music, large screens, 2 huge sofa sittings for larger groups. I personally loved their outdoor seating – very cozy.
